Can Your Feet Combat Your Pain?

Written by

Do you suffer from a long term injury, pain or discomfort?  Your feet may be aiding your discomfort and causing pain in other parts of your body too.

Your feet are your foundation, they help to ensure that your posture is correct whilst running, walking and standing.  As we mature the muscles of our feet start to weaken and the insole muscles can fail, which causes biomechanical problems for our feet.

To compensate for this our muscles will start to rebalance all the way up through our body, causing muscular and skeletal muscle strain.  Over time this can cause pain, stiffness, and even injury to our lower limbs, hips, lower back, and knees.

To help with these injuries and reduce future injury try orthotics, which aim to rebalance the biomechanics of your feet and the muscles of your body.

There are some very good off the peg insoles which will give general support for your feet.  Visit your local running shop, podiatrist, or visit

Give orthotic insoles a try, they will make a big difference to your training, walking and daily life and help to manage your pain.  Take the shock out of your training with orthotic insoles and bring back the spring back into your step.
